Today was a rainy day off and on. I got a few more pictures, checked out the two
new chocolate stores in town, topped off my Ulm souvenirs, and took a train to
Neu-Ulm to check out a chocolate lead there. (It was a dessert place, like
waffles with chocolate sauce, not a real chocolate store.) Neu-Ulm has a new
train station. I recall an open-air ground level station with perhaps two
tracks. The current station is below ground (but open above) with four tracks.
I had found most of the images I sought to match in the Ulm game, but
there were a few images of generic buildings (like a barn, rather than a
particular historical building), so I walked most of the shore of Neu-Ulm
looking for possible matches, but I did not find anything. I continued to my old
neighborhood again and then took a bus back to town.
The shopping mall I used to visit near my old neighborhood is closed. Many of
the sparrow sculptures that are still on display outside are aging and
weathering. They are not going to last much longer.
